The "Pedometer" Habit...What is it?


This is an easy habit to acquire; all you have
to do is purchase a pedometer and wear it every
time you go for a walk or to work out. This positive
habit will help motivate you to keep walking.
A pedometer is a small, inexpensive device that
you attach to your waist. It senses your body's
motion and then counts your footsteps. Pedometers
can be a great motivational tool; they have been
used in Japan for over 20 years to increase walking.
You can buy them in most sporting goods stores.

With a pedometer, you can set goals and see yourself
approaching them. Studies have shown that sedentary
people who use pedometers and set goals see improvements
in their body fat and fitness levels that are comparable
to people performing more structured exercises.

Here are some pedometer tips:

* Record steps you take while walking your daily routine.
* Record daily and weekly activity.
* Set a goal of 6,000 to 10,000 steps per day but work
  up to that goal gradually.

Movement is the key to good health...you must move,
and you must move often.

traumatic event that took place during your childhood

disagreement you no longer speak to each other.

The more negative experiences you carry the worse life gets,
it's that simple.

the way you keep picking up heavy objects, things that

It's not about saying: I let go of the pain from my fight with ---- and move on.

have to get your mind to focus on new things, then you'll
automatically let go of the negative events and situations that
have been slowing you down.
Start focusing on what you want to happen.
Let go of the past and negative situations by getting
your mind to focus on different things.
Direct your subconscious mind to help you let go by giving it new

The Magic Of Forgiveness

The key to forgiveness is to forgive from the heart not from the mind. Knowing in your rational mind that your parents did the best they could to raise you is not enough to constitute forgiveness.
If you have any type of negative emotional reaction in the presence of someone, you have not truly forgiven that person. What would happen if you took 5 minutes to walk in the other person's shoes?  Could you find compassion for them to understand why things happened the way they did?

Forgiveness doesn't mean you have to agree with what they did or how they did it. Not at all. Your values and beliefs may be very different from theirs.  It simply means that you can see the whole truth of what happened and that the Truth encompasses all points of view, not just your own. True compassion of the human experience is that place from which all forgiveness begins. Compassion is an act of unconditional love that is free of any attachment.
Forgiveness is about seeing life with clarity so that you stop judging the activities of others and, instead, take responsibility for your interpretation of those activities. When you judge something that happens in life as good or bad, right or wrong you aren't able to have gratitude for the challenges and experiences life sends your way. No matter how enlightened a person you may be, challenging situations will always happen.  However, if you have gratitude for life's challenges you will always find your joy in life and never feel victimized by your circumstances. 
Once you have seen the truth you simply make the decision to let go of the pain, anger, and resentment you have been holding on to. If you are addicted to your pain, resentment, self-righteousness, this might be a challenging step for you. There is comfort in what we find familiar, even if we are suffering.  However, once you let go, the weight of the world will be released from your shoulders. 
 
In the forgiveness process, it is important to forgive not only the other people in our lives, but also ourselves. For most people, forgiving ourselves is more difficult then forgiving others. Here are a few things to check in with yourself to see if you could use some forgiveness on. 
- Forgive yourself for using people in your life to hurt yourself.
- Forgive yourself for not having clarity, for blaming others, and for not taking responsibility for your actions.

- Forgive yourself for wounding others and for the anger, jealousy, and hate you've directed toward others.

- Forgive yourself for participating in situations that went against your integrity.

- Forgive yourself for not respecting yourself.

- Forgive yourself for not trusting yourself and having faith in your abilities.

- Forgive yourself for trying to control the people you love.

- And, of course, forgive yourself for not loving yourself 100% just the way you are!  
If you forgive you will be truly happy, and your life will reflect the change back to you in every way. After all, what we think in our minds is what manifests in our lives! The greatest benefit of taking greater control, is the availability of choices, and ability to make decisions. Here are some great tips to have these things.

What If You Decided To "Go For It" Today?

OK...now what about this "Go For It" Stuff?


You are probably asking, "what is IT"?

What am I going for?

"IT" could be any worthwhile goal:

You want a career change
You want to make more money
You want to start your own company
You want to retire early
You want to get over a health problem
You want to be a better father
You want to be a better mother
You want to break a record in sports
You want to lose weight

These are just a few examples, your "IT"
could be something completely different. However, there is
no doubt that you have an "IT", and that your life will change
if you reach your "IT" goal.

I know that many of you are saying, "With the global recession
that we are in right now how can I set any goals for a better life?"

Recessions are not permanent.

The economy is already improving, things will get better.

OK, back to the question, what if you decided today
to go for "IT"?

It might mean setting goals, it might mean more work,
it might not be easy, it might be harder than not going for it.

Find a mentor....someone who has been successful at reaching your
"IT" goal. Model yourself after that person, learn how that person
became successful and copy their model. Do not reinvent the wheel.
If you want to quickly reach your "IT" goal, find someone who has
already done it...follow their lead, they already made many
mistakes which you can learn from.

Only tell people you love such as spouse and children about your
"IT" goal. They will encourage you and help you. Friends may be
inclined to discourage you. Why? Because they may have an "IT" goal
too, that they have never reached. What if you reach your "IT"
goal...will  they be jealous?

Focus on your "IT" goal everyday until it becomes a part of who
you are.

Most important of all....make the decision to go for it. The "GO"
decision is the key....you must decide and you must decide NOW
.....will you decide to go for "IT"?

1. Stop talking.

It sounds very simplistic but if you are constantly
talking, how can others express themselves? Make an effort
to shift the focus of the conversation to the other person.

Be aware of your own body language. Match the other
person's body language by leaning forward when they lean
forward, etc.

speaking with a feeling that you truly hear what they are
saying and that you are genuinely interested in their

Quantum Physics

The basic premise is that all matter is composed of particles. Quantum physics is based on the principle that matter can behave as particles or waves.  The double slit experiment proves that particles of matter can behave as particles or as waves; but not as waves and particles at the same time.
What makes this experiment really exciting is the findings at the end of the video. This is where it gets really interesting.
The physicists in the double-slit experiment have confirmed that our observation of particles changes their behaviour.  Particles act differently when observed as opposed to when they’re not observed.

Quantum Physics and The Observer

You could say that the particles behavior is dependent on our observation of its’ presence.  You could also say that the particle knows it’s being watched and because of this, it acts differently.

This leads to some huge ideas.

The Quantum Physics Reality

You see all matter is composed of these tiny electrons or particles.  These particles are everywhere – they are the building blocks of all matter.  They are the foundation to your physical body, the house you live in, the cars you drive and the money in your bank account.
Our entire reality is filled with these tiny particles.  And these particles respond to the way we observe them.  We literally influence the cosmic waves of matter simply by observing. Or in other words, our observation of reality is what creates our reality.  This idea has some huge implications and it begs the old question:
“If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”
According the conclusions of the double-slit experiment, it does not.  The tree can only make a sound if it is observed.  If you don’t pay attention to it, it did not happen.

Quantum Physics and Mind Power

You see observation is….
“the act of watching or the state of being watched”  (Ref: thefreedictionary.com)
Our observation is where we place our attention.  Based on the conclusions of the double slit experiment it’s clear that our attention influences the behavior of very tiny particles. And since all matter is made of these tiny particles we could also say that the behavior of matter is influenced by our observation.
In simpler terms, your attention is what holds your world together.  Your attention is what creates your physical reality. This is just as Wattles concluded over a hundred years ago:
“As it thinks of a form, it takes that form; as it thinks of a motion, it makes that motion.” ~ Wallace D. Wattles
This means that everything you observe has originated from thought; intentionally or unintentionally; consciously or unconsciously.  That’s why it is so important to become aware of what you’re thinking; and to only think what you want to think.
Your thought is at the source of your current reality. If you’re not happy with your current results, then start to create new thoughts.  Even 5 minutes a day can make a make difference.
Create a new picture, a new image of reality so that the quantum world can do it’s magic.
